Data we process
Account identifiers, verified email status, age confirmation, invitation status, Artist Space content, artwork metadata and private originals, collection choices, exchange requests, accepted conversations, messages, blocks, reports, consent timestamps, approximate discovery preferences, and security logs.
Closed Alpha applications
Before an account is created, an applicant may provide a name, email, Instagram username, city and country, artistic discipline, optional portfolio link, testing interests, age confirmation and consent records. This information is used only to review the application, contact the applicant and, if selected, issue a private invitation. Applicants should not submit exact addresses, identity documents, financial information, passwords or confidential artwork.
Why we use it
To review Alpha applications, provide invitation-only access, curate discovery, store private collections, gate chat behind acceptance, secure uploads, prevent abuse, respond to reports and comply with law.
Location
Precise coordinates are not shown to members. The MVP may operate with city-level discovery. If precise location is introduced, it requires separate consent and server-side protection; clients receive only rounded distance.
Sharing and processors
Data is shared only with service providers needed to operate Match Art, including Netlify for hosting and Alpha form processing and Supabase for authentication, database, storage and server functions, and with authorities when legally required. We do not sell personal information or use follower-based advertising profiles.
Retention and control
Unselected Alpha applications are scheduled for deletion within 90 days. Selected applicants' records may be retained to administer the Alpha and document consent. You may request access, correction, export or deletion. Active content is removed or de-identified when deletion is completed, subject to limited retention for safety, fraud, legal claims and backups. Final account retention periods and operator contact information must be published before beta.
Security
We use row-level authorization, private originals, short-lived media links, server-side invitation redemption and least-privilege workflows. No system is perfectly secure; report suspected compromise promptly.
Age and transfers
Match Art is for adults 18 and over. Cross-border processing and region-specific rights will be documented before users outside the initial launch jurisdiction are invited.
